Dr. Xu Jintang serves as the Chairman of the Maritime Law & Mediation Committee at GBAYCIA, bringing decades of rigorous academic research and practical arbitration experience to the association. As a leading authority in private international law and maritime policy, Dr. Xu bridges the gap between complex legal theory and the concrete realities of cross-border maritime disputes. His work focuses on establishing clear, enforceable mediation frameworks that protect the interests of yacht owners, shipyards, and marine operators navigating the multifaceted legal landscape of the Greater Bay Area.

  • Legal Framework Innovation: Pioneered the "Will and Responsibility Theory" for the ascertainment of foreign law, which was subsequently adopted into China's Law on the Application of Laws to Foreign-Related Civil Relations.

  • Cross-Border Mediation Infrastructure: Established and leads the MCMC, creating a dedicated platform for resolving complex maritime and commercial disputes across the differing legal jurisdictions of the Greater Bay Area.
