GBAYCIA President Zhou Dundong Leads Delegation to Explore Green Shipbuilding Opportunities in Ruichang

RUICHANG, JIANGXI – In a strategic move to explore and integrate the full scope of the maritime industry supply chain, a high-level delegation from the Greater Bay Area Yacht and Cruise Industry Association (GBAYCIA) visited Ruichang City on June 27th to investigate its burgeoning green shipbuilding sector.


A High-Level Delegation:

The delegation was led by Mr. Zou Dundong, President of GBAYCIA and Hong Kong Partner at Greater Bay Area Pier Co., Ltd. He was joined by key industry leaders, including:

  • Mr. Wang Lei, Partner at Greater Bay Area Pier Co., Ltd.

  • Mr. Li Tianjun, Secretary-General of GBAYCIA

  • Mr. Meng Yunqiang, Chairman of Zhuhai Feichi Ship Technology Co., Ltd.

  • Mr. Zuo Mingqing, Deputy General Manager of Zhongshan JinXinBao Yacht Co., Ltd.

    The delegation was warmly received by senior officials from Ruichang City, including Mr. Lu Zhixuan, Secretary of the Ruichang Municipal Party Committee, who accompanied the visit.

    A Partnership for a Greener Maritime Future

    During a formal negotiation meeting, Secretary Lu Zhixuan expressed that Ruichang City is fully prepared to advance its green shipbuilding industry, citing the city’s significant advantages in port access, brand recognition, industry leadership, talent pool, and supply chain infrastructure. "The time is right for development," he stated.


    "We welcome entrepreneurs, experts, and financial institutions to invest and provide their strategic insights. Ruichang is committed to providing full support and services. We believe that with our collective efforts, Ruichang's green shipbuilding industry will grow stronger and achieve its goal of becoming a pearl of the industry in the Yangtze River Basin."

    The GBAYCIA delegation praised Ruichang’s impressive industrial foundation and clear determination for growth. They noted that Ruichang’s strategic location has enabled the city to build a robust manufacturing base and a comprehensive industrial chain.


    "We hope to deepen our industrial layout and cooperation with Ruichang, elevating our partnership to a higher level. This will lay a solid foundation for our long-term vision and a new chapter of mutual benefit."

Before the meeting, the delegation conducted site visits to several key locations, including:


  • Lianshanju in Baiyang Town

  • Huanhu Road Industrial Park in Matou Industrial City

  • Public port terminal

  • Jiangxi Jiangzhou Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.

  • Ruichang Dredging Industrial Park exhibition hall


This visit marks a significant step in fostering collaboration between the coastal economic hub of the Greater Bay Area and the powerful industrial capabilities of the inland regions, paving the way for a more integrated and sustainable maritime industry.
