On the afternoon of July 17th, Hong Kong Airport Authority Chairman Fred Lam led a senior management team on an official visit to SMC. The delegation engaged in a highly productive strategic exchange with Chairman Liu Dehui, focusing on the intersection of the "Airport City" development model and the broader marine economy.

The dialogue moved beyond traditional infrastructure discussions, focusing instead on how to seamlessly integrate marine culture, water sports, and the yachting lifestyle into the future of Hong Kong's aviation hub.

Redefining the High-End Service Paradigm

During the visit, Chairman Lam expressed strong interest in SMC's service quality, operational content, and structural systems. He noted that SMC's approach provides a highly valuable reference point as the Hong Kong Airport explores the "Aviation + Marine" multi-scenario model.

Both parties recognized a massive, untapped opportunity in the Greater Bay Area: the synergistic integration of the entire yachting industry supply chain. By combining the logistical power of the Airport Authority with the specialized, high-end customized services of the yachting sector, the region can offer an unprecedented level of service to elite global clientele.

The Next Step: Deepening the Partnership

The meeting concluded with a concrete commitment to future collaboration. Chairman Lam officially invited Chairman Liu and the SMC management team to conduct a return visit to the Hong Kong Airport Authority.

The objective of this upcoming visit is to move from conceptual dialogue to operational planning. The teams will discuss deep participation in the investment and operational management of marine culture, sports, and yachting projects.

By merging the resources of both platforms, GBAYCIA and the Hong Kong Airport Authority aim to construct a new paradigm of quality service for the Greater Bay Area's marine lifestyle, ultimately empowering the high-quality development of the regional economy.
